July 2012

July was a quiet month for us… We celebrated July 4 at the parade in downtown Mckinney. This is becoming a tradition for us and each year we enjoy it more. Aubrey had a blast waving her flags and watching the parade. We were worried that it was going to be too hot but we were in the shade and it was actually quite pleasant. After the parade we went back to our house and grilled fish tacos and floated in the pool. Fireworks didn’t start until 9:45 and since we had to work the next day we decided we couldn’t keep Aubrey up that late. Hopefully she will be able to catch her first fireworks next year! In the middle of the month Justin and I went to our friends birthday celebration and Aubrey spent the night with Bitsy. Before she went to Bitsy’s house she put on a princess dress and I did her hair and make-up because Bitsy had a surprise in store for her. Bitsy had arranged a fancy tea party for her complete with china, crystal, and petit fours. Aubrey had so much fun she was talking about it for days! That’s about all we did in July aside from regular life. We are still going to gymnastics and soccer every weekend and spending a lot of time in the pool.
